WEICHAI NECV is preparing to launch the Landking X7, a new electric light
truck with dozen industry-first innovations, including a 200-kilowatt-hour
battery system and standard L2-level driver assistance. The vehicle is designed
to set new standards amid rising demand for smarter, more efficient commercial
trucks, particularly in urban logistics and regional delivery sectors. It also
reflects China’s efforts to advance high-end, intelligent new energy commercial
vehicles amid the global shift toward greener mobility.
The Landking X7 is expected to be the first electric light truck in its class
equipped with a 200-kWh centrally mounted battery, offering a range of more than
650 kilometers per charge. The battery system includes active thermal management
to perform reliably in temperatures ranging from minus 30 to 65 degrees Celsius.
An integrated energy recovery system is designed to improve charging efficiency
in cold conditions.
To meet the requirements of heavy-duty transport, the Landking X7 comes standard with a high-strength steel frame, an 865mm-wide beam and multi-leaf
spring suspension. The model will also feature a two-speed rear axle, which,
when paired with a 200-kWh battery system, is expected to provide greater
traction and stability on steep or uneven roads. The low-speed gear ratio
reaches up to 25.03, enabling strong and stable performance under load.
Charging time is another key focus of the X7. The truck supports 2C fast
charging technology, enabling the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in less than
25 minutes. With ECO mode and an intelligent energy management system that
adjusts output based on load weight, the vehicle aims to reduce energy
consumption and operational costs.
Safety features are also central to the Landking X7. The model will be the
first in its segment to offer L2-level advanced driver-assistance systems as
standard, including lane departure warning, forward collision alert, emergency
braking, lane keeping and adaptive cruise control.
The Landking X7’s interior is designed for driver comfort, offering one of
the widest cabins in its class at 2,120 millimeters. It includes a flat floor,
expanded headroom, and a high-roof double bunk bed (2000×600mm) for long-haul
rest breaks. Additional amenities include air suspension seating, dual displays
and a wrap-around dashboard.
WEICHAI NECV said the Landking X7 is in the final stages of development and
is set to enter overseas markets soon. Designed as an all-in-one solution for
urban logistics and regional delivery, the electric light truck combines
intelligent technology, advanced safety features, driver comfort and strong
performance. It aims to set a new benchmark for electric light trucks while
reinforcing China’s position in the global new energy commercial vehicle
industry.
